Alicia Swain is an author living in Richmond, VA. She primarily writes poetry and speculative fiction, both of which highlight the lives of women and LGBTQIA+ individuals. Her work is often infused with nature imagery that connects the human experience to roots in the soil and leaves on the trees.

Alicia is a former assistant/consultant for Virginia NOW and the former co-chair of Virginia’s Writers for Democratic Action chapter. She has a corgi named Rowena and a gray tabby cat named Jonesy.
